Build Your Own Website

With the ever-growing number of people getting access to the Internet, it makes sense for businesses to have a website to display their services online. Thanks to the help of major websites and companies that sell Web publishing software, you can build a personal website easily and quickly!

Moreover, once you've created your webpage or website, you can promote your Keen home page and listings by placing a Call Button or other types of links. What a great way to drive potential customers to make calls with you!

Here are some different ways you can build your own website:

  • Create a FREE Web page. Major websites such as AOL and Yahoo offer very easy ways to create your personal website for free. You just pick a template and use a page-builder "wizard" which walks you through a step-by-step process. Your Web page can be live in minutes! Scroll down this page to find out how to get started on AOL and Yahoo. The only catch is that visitors to your Web page will be bombarded with Internet advertising by other companies (this is how AOL and Yahoo can afford to give away free webpages and hosting).

  • Pay a small fee for a website. If you don't want ads popping up on your personal website, consider building your Web page with companies that charge a small fee (from less than $5 to $35 per month) for giving you tools to create your website, extra storage space and Web hosting. Examples include Angelfire, Tripod (both are part of the Terra Lycos Network), Bigstep, Microsoft bCentral and Homestead. Many offer a free trial period so you can see if you like the service before you commit to paying a monthly fee.

  • Use Web publishing software, buy a domain name and pay a Web hosting company. You could also pay a Web designer to do it all for you. This is a more time-consuming and costly route, but you'll be able to truly personalize your website. Here are a few resources you can read more information about creating your website from scratch: WebMonkey or Web Design Guide.
