On a random phone call with my mother about sixteen years ago, I had shared with her that I'd recently been asking random questions and opening my bible with my eyes closed and reading the first passage my opened eyes landed on to gain clarity on what I was going through. She expressed being shocked at what I'd shared because her maternal grandfather, my great-grand father, had the gift of sight and upon hearing the question of what a client/friend/relative wanted to know, he'd run a penny along the pages of the open-end edge of his bible until he was led to stop, and wherever his eyes landed on the opened page, he provided a message based upon his interpretation of what he read. He was so accurate that unfortunately, one day, he made a man cry and run away screaming when he stated that he saw that the man's missing daughter was unalived. They found the girl unalived a few hours after the reading. She told me that he was very popular and well respected in his community for his gift. His nickname was Moses.
