This reading left me very confused. The advisor went from saying that my ex wants what I want and to give hime two-three weeks for us to reconnect. Then said that my ex just wants something casual to explain why he was in the new relationship that he was in. When I asked does that mean he wouldn't be ready for commitment with me either, the advisor said yes.

Advisor said some things that makes me believe that she is connected to my situation. She said that my ex is definitely contemplating being back with me and that he told the person he is currently dating that he and I would still be together if we were in closer proximity. She said that my ex is nice and straightforward and told the person he is currently dating that he wanted to see where things would go with her, but that she is the one wanting the relationship to grow into more while he was just looking for something casual. She said to just be honest with my ex and to give it two-three weeks. I will definitely go for it and provide an update!
