Due to the circumstances of my early home life and experiences, I rapidly developed not only intensely observant senses, and pattern recognition, but also an incredible dialogue with myself, my inner world, and what I have always perceived to be a kind of magical world on top of the one most of us function in. From an early age, I have always been looking for Spirit in every object, experience, and person in my life, asking myself what it is trying to tell me and how I might connect with it on a deeper level. Even when things became extremely challenging I’ve been seeking that connection, to embrace the opportunity for growth. This is where I found myself and began discovering my gifts.
Both of my parents explored and practiced divination in different forms while I was growing up, and so my discovery of and connection to tarot has been a natural progression. I have been practicing and reading tarot for over 20 years and continue to develop a close relationship with my cards.
In my experience, we are often thrust into circumstances, relationships, patterns that force a new perspective, a new way of interacting with ourselves and the world around us. Through developing a core understanding of ourselves and a determination to work through the challenging circumstances we find paths that allow us to transform both ourselves and this outer world. I won’t say it’s been an easy process, but the rewards speak for themselves.
In my own efforts to understand myself and the world, I sought knowledge of the natural world through science, as well as the human side of things: various spiritual paths, world history and culture, and of course occult topics such as divination (tarot and astrology.) Through understanding our experiences and using that understanding to guide us along the path which aligns with our highest selves, we can shape ourselves and our lives. This may sound like a lofty goal and it is, but remember it is a never-ending process and with that comes an acceptance that the pinnacle may be simply an illusion pushing us forward. What we are aiming for is to become better versions of ourselves over time, to align with that which feeds our soul, and to keep walking that path.
I’ve come to a point in life where I understand better and fully accept those circumstances my younger self wanted to fight against. All of those challenges held whispers of who I wanted to be and were opening my spirit up to the path I’m currently on. These challenges have been relentless and have seemed at times designed to break me. I had no choice but to accept and make myself into the person who turned these challenges into opportunities for new growth. Because of this path I’ve been on, I believe in myself, I believe in a better world for all of us, and I believe that each of us has the capacity to create the life we dream of. I’m very grateful to be able to connect with clients in a way that brings clarity, possibility, and which opens the doors for more meaningful lives.
