At the age of six-years-old is when I discovered my abilities. Or rather, they were shown to me; One day, my family brought me, along with my twin sister, Ariana, to visit mother's grandmother, who I had never met at the time. Her first words to my sister and I (and I will never forget them) were, "You two are meant to heal," she pointed to my sister, "You will be able to feel those no longer with us, you will be able to see them, hear them, heal them, They have no one and nothing, when they need help, our world turns our eyes blind." then she turned to me, "You will have the ability to connect to the living, you will understand their thoughts, you will reach their hearts, you will make them see their own path ahead of them. Both of you are meant to be the light in either world to Shepard those who have found themselves lost." At the time it made little to no sense to me, but as my sister and I grew, we found that what we thought was the nonsensical ramblings of a senile old woman turned out to be more truthful than most people nowadays. My sister would wake, sweating and out breath, explaining the "dreams" she'd seen, how people who had been wounded or lost needed her to deliver messages or help them find their homes. I, on the other hand, would find it difficult to walk into my school and not have a panic attack, at the time I had thought I suffered from extreme anxiety, now I know better; Hindsight is 20/20, isn't it? The reason why I was experiencing this was because I had been picking up on EVERYONE'S energy all at once, and it overwhelmed me to the point of feeling physically ill. Since then, I have honed my ability- so much so that I have lived up to, and surpassed, my grandmother's predictions.
