Julian Block   Tactics That Trim Taxes
I am a nationally recognized attorney who has been singled out by as a "leading tax professional" (New York Times), "an accomplished writer on taxes" (Wall Street Journal) and "an authority on tax planning" (Financial Planning Magazine). I am frequently quoted by such publications as Business Week, Money, and U.S. News & World Report. I am well known for my ability to translate complicated tax laws into plain English. My nationally syndicated column, The Tax Adviser, alerts readers to simple, legal, tax-saving strategies. My many books have been praised as: "one of the best personal-finance books" (Money Magazine); "one of the best tax books, an excellent source of information ... writes in such a lively clear style that a reader might never guess that he is a tax lawyer" (New York Times); "easily the best guide available" (Forbes); and "a triumph of simplicity that tackles the complex world of taxes and communicates to readers in clear, everyday language" (National Association of Enrolled Agents). My "Year Round Savings" explains the steps to take to reduce taxes this year and even gain a head start for future years. Besides writing and practicing law in Larchmont, N.Y., I conduct programs on retirement planning for major corporations and professional associations and I am a frequent guest on television and radio shows, including Today on NBC and Wall Street Journal Reports. Bryant Gumbel cited me as "a frequent guest, whose insights are always great fare and with a talent for simplifying the complications of tax work." I hold an accounting degree from Roosevelt University, a law degree from DePaul University, and a master of laws degree in taxation from New York University Graduate Law School. Formerly, I was with the Internal Revenue Service as a special agent (criminal investigator) and as an attorney. I have taught tax planning at such schools as Adelphi University (for a course held on a commuter train), Long Island University, Mercy College, New York University, Pace University, and The New School. As much as it might be annoying to "feed the meter" on going through other things to consider, still a very economical and convenient method to talk to an expert vs. paying an equivalent flat fee to find someone local (and hope they actually know what they're talking about!).

Julian is so quick and comforting vs. trying to interpret tax laws online by yourself. Gave great suggestions/advice on what to do about future deductions, etc. I will keep his name/website for future reference.
