What If I only have one phone line?

You can still make and receive calls if you use one phone line for both the Internet and phone calls. However, you'll have to sign out before we can call you.

Here's how it works:

If you're on Keen and you want to place a call:

  1. Get ready. Save all your work in applications, such as email, which connect you to the Internet. Then close those applications.

  2. Click Call Now. When you find a listing you want to call, click Call Now.

  3. Disconnect from the Internet. You'll have about 15 seconds to do so.

  4. We'll dial your number. If you're signed out, your phone will ring and your call will begin.

  5. If you haven't yet signed out, your phone line will be busy. We'll try your number two more times over the next minute.

If you're online while receiving a call:

  1. Important: You must click the Notify Me of Incoming Calls link in the My Availability section on the My Account page.

  2. When a customer clicks Call Now for one of your listings, a pop-up window will appear on your screen, letting you know that we're trying to call you.

    Note: You can do whatever you want online; you don't need to be on the Keen website in order for this pop-up window to appear.

  3. Disconnect from the Internet.

  4. We'll dial your number. If you're signed out, your phone will ring and your call will begin.

  5. If you haven't yet signed out, your phone line will be busy. We'll retry your number two more times over the next minute.
