Start your Spiritual Journey: Where do we begin?

If you’re thinking about how to start your spiritual journey or where to even start, well- It has already begun! You might like to know that we can use “spiritual journey” and “spiritual awakening” interchangeably. Everyone’s spiritual journey starts off differently and it is ultimately up to you and what you feel called to do. Being spiritual is a personal experience and it is getting in tune with who you are with the inner workings of the world. It is essentially living as your soul.

We are all born with an internal guidance system and we are embedded with a spirit team or belief system such as: our Guides, God, the Universe, the Divine, whatever you choose to believe in. Let’s all just breathe and realize that we are simply human beings, not human doings. You have to realize that you are a divine being having a human experience and that life is just an illusion. The purpose of life is to help your higher power, your higher self- to learn and grow.

Truly, you will eventually learn and understand that the number one priority of any spiritual awakening journey is to get to know yourself and understand your life’s purpose, why you’re here, and to ultimately connect with yourself.

With guidance from one of our spiritual advisors, you can receive enlightenment and inspiration.

What does it mean to have a Spiritual Awakening?

A spiritual awakening journey is an individual’s personal exploration of how their own beliefs relate to the world around them. It can simply involve cultivating power of intention, learning to trust your intuition, and practicing mindfulness. Ultimately, it is about discovering your true purpose in life and awakening the potential within you.

Meditate

The act of meditating may be so simple although it is extremely powerful. Meditating can help you feel your own energy, grow your own personal gifts, become in tune with yourself, and help you recognize and separate your mind, body, and spirit.

When you meditate, you initiate a spiritual connection and begin to visualize the presence of a higher power at play in your life. Like anything in life, it will be hard to focus and it may feel overwhelming.  Just remember, it is a practice, and you just have to keep practicing until you get better at it.

Meditating will help you become self aware and live in the present moment so you are not distracted from the external world.

Pray for Guidance

We all have our own belief system, and this includes your higher self, the Universe, God, the Divine, all of which can help you on your journey. Don’t be afraid to pray and ask them to show you your next steps, ask them for specific signs, they will always deliver. Sit in silence while you ask for guidance, show gratitude, and give thanks to life’s lessons. The more you speak to your Guides, your connection will grow over time.

Improve through Spiritual Development

Connect with Nature

Spiritual growth starts with grounding ourselves in nature. To reconnect with nature around us, we can spend time outdoors in natural surroundings and become more aware of the sights, sounds, and smells that surround us. We can take a break from technology and the busyness of our lives and sit in stillness, enjoying the beauty that nature offers.

Being surrounded in nature allows us to feel free and it is the perfect way to practice mindfulness. When we are present with nature, we are able to learn and listen to our intuition along with protecting our energy. By connecting with nature, it allows us to feel more connected with ourselves and the spiritual realm, deepening our inner exploration of who we are.

Spend time Alone

During your spiritual awakening, we want to listen to our internal system and spend time alone. Alone time will help you build awareness which then turns into resistance. We cannot change if we are not aware of what we need to change.

For example, you might hear people talk about tarot cards and it’s not what you’re into. This means your guides are creating resistance for you to go in a different direction. This is not a bad thing, resistance can mean it may or may not be your time, or it simply just means you’re meant to go a different direction.

Spending time alone can be a great way to break away from the noise of everyday life, explore thoughts or ideas without influence- and to reconnect with your inner self. When you take time for yourself, you reconnect with who you are as an individual. You learn to trust yourself and make choices that reflect your own values and interests.

The Spiritual Path is Yours to Create

We are the creators of our own reality, and it is up to us to decide how we want that reality to be. Only we have the power- through shifting our thoughts and perspectives – to make ourselves better people. We are human beings with a soul purpose to live our life with intention and focus on everything that is happening for us. Wherever we direct our energy, that is where it will go.

Conclusively, everyone’s spiritual path is different, so it is important to trust yourself and to trust your intuition. All spiritual paths are unique. We each have our own beliefs and values and experiences that form our perspective on the world around us, which makes everyone’s personal journey different from another’s. Hence, no two paths to the divine are alike. Spirituality is the realization and the remembering of who we are.
